This 2-person inflatable kayak turned out to be the best low budget solution on the market explored, in the area of 2-person inflatable kayaks.

This kayak is super-comfortable, including the 2 seats. It feels literally like a couch on the water, also for tall people. There are 2 small built-in skegs (bottom fins) for directional control, one at the nose & one at the rear. It is ideal for beginners, for lakes and calm rivers, but glides over waves with ease too, mostly without even altering the heading. Attention: This kayak is not built for high speed or wild water, but great for a leisurely stroll down.

Guaranteed not to leak, thanks to Sevylor Feets exclusive Airtight System, the kayak Feets Double-Lock Valves prevent accidental air loss and ensure quick, easy inflation and deflation. The security is perfect indeed, as there are 8 sections to fill with air – if one of them accidentally deflates no big deal. Nevertheless, it is quick to inflate because each section is numbered and with some practice inflation time will be less than 5 minutes. In less than 10 minutes you are out on the water.

The hull made of heavy-duty 25 gauge PVC withstands scratching over rocks or coral riffs usually without problems. It is very durable.

Recommendations:

  • Using longer paddles (e.g. 90 inch) would be even more comfortable and reduces water splashing
  • The included paddles can fall apart under rough conditions. It helps to glue all the couplings, but for serious heavy duty kayaking upgrade to a quality set of paddles!
  • Buy a pump (not included); use a manual pump as opposed to electrical ones, in order to reach full inflation
  • It is very difficult to get it back in the original box once you open it and fill – so have a bigger place to store it after use.
